TUSCANY AND I

I’m not sure whether its a good or bad thing, but during my visit to Tuscany I did not leave my hotel. To be fair, there wasn’t much reason to…

The hotel I stayed in is called Borgo Santo Pietro and it was nothing short of amazing. It is definitely more than just your ordinary hotel, it in fact, is an estate, featuring a grand 13th century villa, vegetable and herb gardens, a farm with chickens and llamas and some of the most beautiful grounds I have ever seen. Apart from the luscious accommodations and gardens, Borgo Santo Pietro also boasts a Michelin Star restaurant in which they only use ingredients from their own, or local Tuscan farms. This “farm to table” concept was a huge drawing factor for me as I love healthy food, especially when I can see where it was pulled out of the ground. The food in Italy is delicious as it is but this really takes it to a whole other level.

I spent my 3 days here wandering in the gardens, relaxing by the pool and in the spa and working from my 13th century style room. It was truly luxurious and a great place to relax and reset from all of my recent, non-stop, travels.

Now I am off on a 5 hour drive, luckily a smooth one thanks to Bentley, to my next location.
