A NIGHT AT IL RICCIO: THE RECEPTION

Following our magical ceremony, our wedding party changed into a second round of outfits before heading off to join our guests at the iconic Il Riccio restaurant. What followed was an evening filled with incredible food, heartfelt speeches, wine, laughter, tears, dancing, and pure joy — a celebration in every sense of the word.

My reception dress was truly the dress of my dreams. I designed it in collaboration with the incredible Michael Lo Sordo and my stylist, Marina Didovich. Inspired by one of Michael’s signature designs, we reimagined it to feel uniquely mine — dropping the waistline, opening up the front, and adding deeper cuts to create a silhouette that felt effortlessly sexy, elegant, and made for dancing. To complete the look, I paired some of my own treasured Bvlgari pieces with the breathtaking Serpenti Viper necklace and matching earrings, kindly brought in by Bvlgari Roma for the occasion. It was such an honour to wear them on a night so close to my heart — a subtle nod to my long-standing relationship with Bvlgari. The entire look was the perfect contrast to my ceremony dress — I truly feel so lucky to have collaborated on two custom designs I loved equally, each capturing a different chapter of the day.

My bridesmaids also changed into gowns by Michael Lo Sordo for the reception, echoing the effortless elegance of the evening, and Theo stepped into his tailored evening look.

Meanwhile, our guests enjoyed aperitifs at sunset on the terrace at Il Riccio while we got ready.

Our reception location and table-scape came together to create the most magical, otherworldly atmosphere.

Our entire wedding party — and even our parents — had their own choreographed entrances to the reception. Theo and I share a deep love of music, and this set the tone perfectly for the rest of the night. We created playlists for every single moment across the five days of our wedding celebrations (you can actually listen to them on my Spotify). Our entrance song was Get Down Tonight by KC and The Sunshine band.

Il Riccio is famously home to its magical dessert room, which of course we made sure to visit — a whimsical highlight tucked within an already unforgettable night.

Surrounded by over 100 of our closest family and friends from around the world, it felt surreal to be living the very moment we had dreamed about the year before, when we got engaged in Capri.

After dinner and speeches, we made our way upstairs to dance the night away. The atmosphere was electric — with a live saxophonist, our amazing DJ, a bouzouki player (naturally!), and a surprise fireworks show that lit up the cliffs and took the energy to another level. Our wedding cake was a classic millefoglie — the perfect sweet refuel to keep everyone dancing into the early hours.

One of the most spectacular and emotional moments of my life was when the fireworks went off and everyone stopped, arms wrapped around each other, singing every word to Frank Sinatra’s New York, New York. It was cinematic, spontaneous, and completely unforgettable — a night we’ll hold in our hearts forever.
